Justin “J.T.” Spearman is a seasoned Independent Petroleum Landman and the Managing Member of JTS III LLC, widely respected in the oil and gas industry for his hands-on, no-shortcuts approach. He’s known for conducting deep courthouse-level title research, navigating complex leases, and structuring multi-tract acquisitions that bring real value to both operators and mineral owners.
Justin entered the land business at just 22, diving into both corporate and independent roles with urgency and intent. Early on, he found his footing in West Texas, where he learned two guiding principles: disciplined preparation wins deals, and your growth depends on the mentors you choose to follow.

But success didn’t come without setbacks. In his mid-20s, Justin’s life was derailed by personal and spiritual failings—choices rooted in pride and ambition that led to a 27-month federal prison sentence, later extended due to additional charges in Florida. Rather than conceal this chapter, Justin embraces it. He sees that season as the crucible that refined him. With the steadfast support of family, a strong faith community, and the mentors who never gave up on him, Justin committed to rebuilding—with integrity, humility, and a new sense of purpose.

Since reentering the industry, Justin has rebuilt his practice from the ground up. His strategy is clear: do the hard things others avoid, ignore the noise, and let performance—not the past—define the narrative.

Beyond his professional work, Justin is passionate about people. He serves on the YoungLife Committee in Fort Worth and has also worked alongside several faith-based organizations, sharing a message rooted in accountability, grace, and transformation.
